Dinesh Karthik, The Man Behind India’s Win In Nidahas Trophy 2018!!

Nidahas is the tri-match series between India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh which had the final match on 18th March 2018. Bangladesh had won two matches against the host team, Sri Lanka and managed to get into a final fight with India. Though all the three batsmen have some amazing lineup, Nidahas is bagged by India.

Bangladesh players were almost successful in bagging the trophy until this Indian Batsmen stepped in. The man behind India’s win will be and should be contributed to Dinesh Karthik and also to Rohit Sharma who scored a half-century.

India had a sensational start as Rohit was smashing some boundaries but their happiness came to an end when Dhawan left the crease for just 10runs. The next person to enter the crease was Raina who was gone for a duck. Then came Lokesh who started it fine but returned in just 14balls with a score of 24.

Then came Manish Pandey who raised hopes for India’s win. Though he started it fine, there were many dot balls and the difference between the balls and the runs was increasing which increased the pressure between the batsmen.

Manish Pandey returned back to the pavilion after he tried to hit a six which was caught by Sabbir, which came as shock to Indian fans. But little did they know that it is a boon which will result in India’s win. Dinesh Karthik came at a point in time when the pressure was too high as there was a lot of difference between the balls and the runs.

Dinesh entered the crease when there were 12balls and India needed 34runs to win. The first ball he faced was 6, then he scored another 4 and with the third ball was again a 6 which reduced the difference to a great extent. The next 3 balls were singles and a four

In the last over India needed 12 runs from 6 balls, The first ball was wide but Vijay would’ve been out, but he got saved thankfully. The next two balls were dots which gave hopes to Bangladeshi Ballers but Vijay hit a four on the third ball of the last over which gave us hopes again.

Now the difference is 7 from 3 and Vijay tried to hit a six but in a highly dramatic sequence of two fielders colliding, he had to return back to the pavilion giving the strike back to Dinesh Karthik.

Now India needed 5runs from 1 ball with Dinesh on strike and He scores a 6 in style snatching the trophy from Bangladesh. The match was unbelievable and kept the viewers hooked to the very end moment. Even Bangladesh players couldn’t believe this and were seen breaking down on the field. Dinesh scored 29 runs from just 8 balls.Dinesh Karthik, The man who saved the pride of India on the field should be truly appreciated
