Harsh Goenka Takes A Dig At Virat Kohli & Team India On Their Poor Performance In South Africa Test Series
We all know that Harsh Goenka, the co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise team Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) has been in the news for bad reasons during the IPL 2017. People hated him for his insensitive tweets about former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. However, he was brutally thrashed on Twitter.
Before the start of the IPL season 10 last year, the Goenkas surprised the entire cricketing fraternity after he removed MS Dhoni from the captaincy and let Australia’s Steve Smith take over the captaincy.
He later grabbed a large amount of attention on this issue. He had not spared Virat Kohli either when Anil Kumble had sensationally stepped down as the head coach of the team. It seems that he has now turned his attention to the Indian cricket and Harsh Goenka, in one way or the other finds a way to remain in the spotlight.
Reacting to the then controversy, Harsh Goenka took a dig at Indian skipper Virat Kohli regarding the consistency in the players. He wrote, “Pl apply for Indian cricket coach. Qualifications: Organize travel schedule. Fix hotel rooms. Be obedient to BCCI and Indian cricket captain.”
India’s batsmen had failed to deliver in the first two Tests, as the team had gone on to lose both the games to concede the series. The batsmen disappointed once again in the first innings of the ongoing third Test in Johannesburg.
Except for Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, no other player reached to double-digit score. Kohli and Pujara scored half-centuries, but the other batsmen failed to get going.
With India’s batsmen failing once again in the tough conditions, Goenka was quick to take a dig at them. He took to Twitter to post a hilarious morphed image of Virat Kohli carrying a pitch, writing, “The only way we can win is by transporting Indian Pitches to South Africa. This should be allowed.”
