IND Vs Aus 2nd Test: KL Rahul Bowled But Not Out, Steve Smith Is Not Amused !!

After India restricted Australia’s lead to 87, courtesy Ravindra Jadeja’s six for 63 in the first session, it was imperative for India to start well to get back on even terms in the second India vs Australia Test at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

KL Rahul and Abhinav Mukund have got India off to the perfect start. The batsmen have notched 38 runs without losing a wicket. KL Rahul has reached 1,000 Test runs in his 15th Test match of his career. The Karnataka batsman has impressed one and all during his short career so far.

The Indian opener KL Rahul pulls out of the bowl, but the Australian spinner Lyon bowls and the ball hit the wickets. Australian wicketkeeper Wade mock-celebrates with captain Stebe Smith but the umpire called it a dead ball.

Rahul bails out just as Lyon was sending one down — the ball spins in and hits the stumps and Smith and the other Aussies are, like, what the hell? Rahul gesturing to the sightscreen, where there seems to be some kind of procession going on.

When the ball is rebowled, Rahul reaches a long way forward and guides a drive nicely wide of cover to get two more. And for the first time in this innings, KLR then dances down the track, gets to the pitch, whips the ball with the turn off the pads.

A massive wicket for Australia in 25th over. KL Rahul edges a delivery off Steve O’Keefe and Steve Smith flies to his right to take a brilliant catch to dismiss KL Rahul for 51 runs.
