After all hard work done by team India, New Zealand dominated the Indian batsmen with excellent bowling at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi. Though Indian bowlers did their job so perfectly, nothing went right for the hosts.

Kane Williamson’s calm and composed 118 off 128 balls, despite minimal support from his fellow batsmen, had helped NZ to 242 for nine. But the Kiwi skipper got good backing from his bowlers as they managed to chip away the Indian wickets at regular intervals.

It was towards the end of New Zealand innings when Indian bowlers were dominating that one of the cameramen found a girl sleeping. This woman remained fast asleep until her friend saw them on camera and woke her up.

Chasing a target of 243, India found themselves tottering at 184 for 8 after the 41st over, before Pandya and tail-ender Umesh Yadav joined forces combining for a 49-run stand for the ninth wicket. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav’s partnership was crucial but Dhoni was dismissed for loose delivery which was caught by bowler Tim Southee himself.

India needed 22 runs from the final three and Hardik managed to bring his team closer to the target.

New Zealand managed to restrict team India at 236 and won the 2^nd ODI by 6 runs. New Zealand got their first win on this tour and they hope to continue the same performance in rest of the series. All the hard work of team India has gone in vain, making the series level 1-1.
