[WATCH] Kedar Jadhav Plays Strange Cricket Shot, Hits The Ball With His Chest For A Boundary

After the immense success of the series against Australia, team India lost the opening ODI against New Zealand by six wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham put up a 200 run partnership for the 4th wicket to register the victory for their side, making them 1-0 ahead in the three-match ODI series.

Despite the loss, India still had highlights in form of Virat Kohli, who scored his 31st century in his 200th appearance in ODIs and then there were some moments which were just bizarre. One such incident worth mentioning is Kedar Jadhav, the middle order batsman, getting a boundary off Adam Milne delivery.

After the Indian openers, Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma failed to provide a start. It prompted Jadhav’s promotion. The Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav shocked everyone with one unusual play or the lack of it.

Ball hits Kedar chest

A batsman scoring a boundary is more than usual but Kedar’s unorthodox shot makes it more interesting. In the 11th over, off the last ball, Adam Milne produced a slow bouncer. Milne banged the ball hard to get the perfect bouncer but there was no assistance from the wicket and it came a foot short.

In an evasive action, Jadhav tried to avoid the delivery by bending backward, but the ball kept following. It hit his chest and went between the wicketkeeper and wide slip for a four.

However, the umpire signaled the runs as byes.

Kedar went on to make only 12 runs with a lone boundary to his name. He was unlucky as he went back to pavilion for a soft dismissal. A delivery like that could have been fatal but lucky for him that it ended at the boundary rope doing damage to the opposite side.
