In the yesterday’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match between Barbados Tridents and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Kieran Powell and JJ Smuts of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots had a nasty head collision while trying to catch AB de Villiers catch.

In the 19^th over, de Villiers smashed Alzarri Joseph’s ball to the wide mid-on region where Powell and Smuts had a misconception while trying to take the catch at the boundary rope. Both the fielders collided their heads which resulted in Powell injuring seriously.

Powell was taken off the field in an ambulance. ABD, the man in form scored 82 off 54 balls which helped Barbados team to win the match by 25 runs.
