Stand-up Comedian Kunal Kamra Tries To Troll Gautam Gambhir Against His Tweet On Playing National Anthem In Theatres, Receives Severe Backlash From Tweeple
Back then during the December of 2016, Supreme Court has come up with a surprising verdict saying that National Anthem is must in cinema halls. The decision was strictly followed in theaters since then. The Apex court ended up saying that it is mandatory for movie theaters to play the National Anthem before a movie starts, along with visuals of the national flag and it should not be dramatized or exploited commercially.
The Supreme Court further stated that all those inside the theater must rise and pay attention when the National Anthem is being played on the screen. Though some prominent people went against this, many supported the act, called it a gesture of patriotism. Now, recently SC revealed that they’re re-evaluating the reports on confirming National anthem in theaters.
While this is going on one side, actress Sunny Leone has come forward supporting the idea. Contrary to this, Sonu Nigam and Vidya Balan went saying that it shouldn’t be played. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir once again took a stud stand on the issue, went opining that it must be made mandatory and questioned why can’t people stand for the national anthem, just for 52 seconds?
Here’s What Gambhir tweet read, “Standing n waiting outside a club: 20 mins. Standing n waiting outside favorite restaurant 30 mins. Standing for national anthem: 52 secs. Tough?”
Standin n waitin outsid a club:20 mins.Standin n waitin outsid favourite restaurant 30 mins.Standin for national anthem: 52 secs. Tough?

Hardly hours after Gambhir posted the patriotic tweet condemning the masses for not paying due respect for the national anthem whenever played in the cinema halls, the renowned stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra took a jibe at Gambhir regarding his stay at the crease in foreign conditions.
What followed was a bunch of Gambhir fanatics defending the cricketer regarding the contributions he made to Indian cricket. Gambhir is well known for his patriotic sentiments and tweet. There have been numerous instances when he has hailed the Indian soldiers for their sacrifices and raised his voice whenever the personnel in the defense are subjected to injustice or mistreatment.
There has been a number of occasions when Gambhir failed to open his account in testing conditions of England, Australia, and South Africa. The comedian wanted to take a sly dig at the KKR skipper by enumerating his durations at the crease by comparing with the 52 seconds of the national anthem. The comedian retweeted by roasting the southpaw, “Sir I can point out many innings where it was tough for you to stand for 52 seconds…”
Thus, Twitterati went furious and lashed at the comedian for his insensitive tweet.

On a basic note, one must know that Patriotism cannot be forced. And one cannot impose that forcibly on anyone just for the sake of flaunting the love for country.
