[WATCH VIDEO] Lasith Malinga Surprises The World With His Off-Spin Bowling, Takes Three Wickets

Ever since he started playing International cricket, Sri Lanka’s pacer Lasith Malinga has been one of the iconic bowlers of the modern game. From his bowling action to absolute beast and pace, he has been well-known in the circuit for decimating any batting line-up on his day.

In a recent county match during the MCA Premier League, Malinga pulled off an amazing bowling action and astonished every spectator in the stands. His action almost looked like India’s all-rounder Kedar Jadhav’s side-arm bowling action.

Malinga quit his ‘slinga’ and instead decided to bowl off-spin and the reason is due to bad light at MCA Grounds. The pacer did a great job too by taking three wickets for Teejay Lanka against LB Finance in the final encounter of the tournament.

Apart from his contribution with the ball, the 34-year-old pacer led his side, Teejay Lanka to victory as they emerged champions of the 25th Singer MCA Premier League Knock-Out tournament beating LB Finance by 82 runs through the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.

The right-arm fast bowler takes a long run-up while bowling fast but bowling off-spin did not take much effort from him in terms of the run-up. He was on-spot trying to bowl a wicket-to-wicket line to the batsmen and getting the better of them.

Malinga did not play in the recently concluded T20I series against Pakistan. The veteran bowler has lost a lot of pace in his bowling. Whether Malinga gets to try his hand at off-spin in international games, only time will tell.
