[Watch Video]: Martin Guptill’s Takes A Stunning Catch Of This IPL Season Ever And Leaves Fans Mesmerised

New Zealand player and Kings XI Punjab batsman, Martin Guptill turned out to be a “Superman” yesterday as he pulled off a stunning catch at the boundary rope to dismiss a well-set Lendl Simmons during a match against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai.

Chasing an improbable 230, Mumbai Indian went off to a flying start with their openers- Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons- adding 99 runs off just 52 balls before the former was dismissed by Mohit Sharma.

However, Simmons’ presence was still a big worry for the Kings XI as the right-handed batsman had already raced to 59 off just 31 deliveries and the Glenn Maxwell led side needed a moment of brilliance to get rid of him.

Then, this stunning incident happened when Simmons hit a Glenn Maxwell delivery for a probable six over long-on. It looked like it would be another maximum but Guptill had some other plans. The tall Kiwi jumped perfectly and stuck his right hand out. It looked unbelievable to the naked eye but it was the reality.

This was one of the superb and incredible fielding efforts by Guptill who made up an excellent fielding magic on boundary lines where the crowd was shocked and amazed at the same time. Watch the amazing effort by Guptill on the boundary line.

Well, Guptill timed his jump to perfection to grab the catch, it will go down as one of the best catches in the tournament and probably one of the best of all time.

Punjab went on to win the game by a whisker and the catch would have surely made a huge difference.
