Former Cricketer Matthew Hayden Has A Perfect Answer On Dhoni’s Retirement, Check Out The Example Given By Him
Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni, well known as the best finisher has had a long reign as the captain and maintained his consistency long enough in bagging last minute victories to India. Better to be called as the bringer of hope, Dhoni’s performance in recent days is been in ambiguity.
Many legendary players and people from cricket fraternity have backed Dhoni’s presence in the Indian team. Earlier, there was a situation when Dhoni himself gave an epic reply to a foreign journalist. Be it Virat Kohli or other team mates, people never gave up on Dhoni and that’s pretty rare to find the best finisher, Wicket Keeper, and game planner in one person.
Recently, former Australian hitman Matthew Hayden joined the row saying that Dhoni knows when he is done. He also answered many questions regarding his experience with the current team, Ravi Shastri, and the present day Cricket fraternity.
The interview took place yesterday when Hayden was in Chennai for the promotion of the Tamil Nadu Premier League. It is then, a media person asked:
“You were part of the Australian team when Adam Gilchrist suddenly decided to retire after dropping a catch during the India series. Do you think the time has come for MS Dhoni to take a similar call?”
And Hayden has a perfect answer for this, he neither backed Dhoni nor repudiated his presence. He simply gave an example that would convey everything. He said:
“The life of a cricketer is like a glass full of water and coins are being dropped into it. Then comes a moment when the water spills at the drop of one more coin – Gilchrist’s was like that. If MS feels that moment has come, I think he will go. I still see him as a player who can change games and he is not the one who will hang around when he believes it’s done.”
Well, both of them earlier played together in IPL’s most favorite team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and that’s an intellectual answer. What do you feel? drop your opinion in the comment box below.
