Mohammed Shami Joins an Elite Club of Cricketers after Becoming the Second Indian Cricketer To Score A Hat-Trick in the World Cup

Mohammed Shami is now the second Indian Player that has scored a hat-trick in the Cricket World Cup, the 28-year-old pacer joined Chetan Sharma as the only Indian person who scored a hat-trick in the World Cup Before.

Chetan Sharma claimed the hat-trick in 1987 when India was playing against New Zealand, he became the first ever Indian to claim a hat-trick in the World Cup.

Mohammed Shami did not play in the first 4 games of the ICC World Cup 2019, but, he managed to play in the first 11 as he replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Mohammed Shami claimed four wickets during the match against Afghanistan, he claimed the wickets of Hazratullah Zazai, Mohammad Nabi, Aftab Alam, and Mujeed Ur Rahman.

Mohammed Shami is now part of the Hat-Trick world cup club, the club only has 10 cricketers in total.

Virat Kohli praised his teammate after the match, Kohli said, “Everyone’s waiting for an opportunity. Shami was really good today. He was making the ball move more than anybody.”

India currently has 4 wins in the ICC 2019 World Cup, the team is unbeaten and sits at the third spot of the table.
