The decider match turned out to be one of the most exciting matches of the year 2017. Indian Team dominated New Zealand team with brilliant bowling. MS Dhoni, the man who doesn’t leave any chance made a crucial run out during Bumrah’s death over which turned it for the Indian team. With 8 overs each at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, New Zealand chose to bowl and restricted Indian batsman with 67 runs by taking out 5 wickets.

Their (Kiwis) hopes were largely resting on Colin Munro who walked out to bat with some immense momentum of the century he scored at Rajkot. India’s only chance of winning, on the other hand, was to be exceptional with the ball and in the field. This is exactly what happened in the second over.

Bhuvneshwar had already sent back Guptill in the very first over and now it was Bumrah’s turn. Rohit’s catch electrified the crowd as Munro decided to take an aerial route and clear the ropes. However, the visitors couldn’t face the India’s best bowling line-up.

In the last over, both Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni together led the team to a great victory. In the video, we can see Dhoni stepping into Kohli’s shoes and guiding the fielders. It reminded the viewers of Dhoni’s captaincy days.

India later went on to win the match by 6 runs as Indian bowlers scripted a victory for their skipper and the crowd of Trivandrum which was witnessing international cricket after decades.
