Hardik Pandya Didn’t Play Yesterday’s T20I & Here Is The Reason Behind This

After an astounding performance in the past 7 matches, the Indian team has proved its unprecedented dominance in the Sri Lankan series. The last and final match-One T20I was played yesterday, well, with an ultimate 8-winning strike, there’s no going back for team India. Certain changes are done in the ‘Men In Blue’ team of which excluding Hardik Pandya was crucial.

However, with Pandya out of the team, it was surely a surprise. On one hand, the rest of the team did the warm-ups and running routine while Hardik was seen with the team physio Patrick Farhat. That was an indication which came to limelight just before the match.

As it turns out the all-rounder was gingerly ahead of the start of the contest and certainly not cent percent fit. Since the team doesn’t want to take any chances given they have an extended limited-overs season awaiting them at home.

hardik pandya injured, out of indian team

The situation was unknown because skipper Kohli was seen nowhere talking about Pandya’s presence during the toss. He was seen saying, “We are going to bowl first. Rain’s coming in and it will be an advantage if we get a shortened chase. We played good cricket. We wanted to create good habits and continue with the same. From the last game, Rahane and Shardul Thakur miss out. KL Rahul and Axar come in.”

Now, to find the real incident that resulted in Pandya’a absence we have to go back to the scare he had in the 2nd ODI. It was in the middle of his 6th over, the seamer pulled out of the run up as he felt a strain in his calf. He bowled only 5.2 overs in that game and Kedar Jadhav rest of the spell.

For all good let us hope that Hardik will get on with that injury and make a fine comeback in the upcoming Australia series.
