Twitter Reactions: Rohit Sharma Hits The Joint-Fastest T20I Hundred

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma lost the toss and was asked to bat first in the second T20I against Sri Lankan in Indore. He walked out to take guard and hit the visitors like a six-machine. His intention was crystal clear, shatter and demolish the opposition. Though Rohit took a couple of deliveries to access the condition of the pitch.

From the third ball that he slashed for a boundary through the backward point region, it was a carnage. Another boundary on the fifth ball and it was a flying start already. Rohit was simply toying with the bowlers. Not the kind of game he usually displays as he likes to take his time and then go for the kill.

Today, the HITman was on the hunt upfront and soon we could sense a record was in line to be overhauled. He was unstoppable as the Lankan bowlers came one after the other, they all tried to stop but in vain. He batted like a man possessed and the ball was just flying off his bat. Whichever the delivery he touched in the air landed deep in the stands. He left the fielders mere spectators.

In other words, Rohit hardly gave a chance to the fielders to move when he was hitting it on and off the grass. However, Rohit hit 12 fours and 10 sixes to score his second T20I century 118 off 35 balls which now equals him for the fastest hundred in T20I cricket with South Africa’s David Miller who took as many deliveries for his.

He went on hitting the ball after the hundred as well and it seemed like an unbelievable could happen, 200 in T20I. Eventually, on the 43rd ball, he was foxed on a slower delivery but not before scoring a magnificent 118 runs.

Twitter went crazy after watching Rohit Sharma’s outstanding innings. Here are few Twitter reactions that cricket fans posted on Twitter.
