Team India will look to clinch another ODI series as they play their third and final One-Day International (ODI) against New Zealand in Kanpur at the Green Park stadium on Sunday.
The series is level 1-1 with the hosts defeating Kiwis in Pune after New Zealand won the first ODI in Mumbai. New Zealand has won the toss and has opted to bowl. Both teams are unchanged. However, both the opening batsmen looked in good touch in dealing with boundaries until Dhawan (14) was caught at mid-off in 7th over.
The clever field change from Williamson brings about Dhawan’s downfall. Southee lands it on a length around middle and off, and Dhawan looks to hit it over mid-off but ends up chipping it straight to Williamson there. He could have flicked it away but the close-in fielder made him go for the rash shot.
As soon as Virat Kohli joined Rohit Sharma, the six-hitting machine of 2017 is at it again. Milne bowls it on a shorter length around off, Rohit hangs back and hits it over mid-wicket for a maximum. Always danger signs for the opposition when he is in full flow.
Virat Kohli looked amazed after seeing the shot from Rohit.
