Shikhar Dhawan’s Emotional Message To His Wife Ayesha Will Surely Leave You In Tears

Upon his wonderful form, Shikhar Dhawan came into the squad as the replacement for Murali Vijay. After playing a magnificent knock of 190 runs in the first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle, Shikhar Dhawan is now working his heart out to prepare himself for the second Test at Colombo.

Amid the preparation, Shikhar Dhawan took the opportunity to wish his wife Ayesha Mukherjee on her birthday. So, he shared a lovely birthday wish for his wife Ayesha Dhawan. The 31-year-old Delhi-lad conveyed his birthday wishes to his wife through the Instagram account.

Shikhar got a little emotional as he sent out his warm wishes and regards to her through the social media. Dhawan posted a picture with his wife and captioned it: “Wishing my beautiful wife @aesha.dhawan5 very happy birthday. Wish was celebrating it together, I am always there with u hun.Miss u..”

Dhawan’s family stays in Melbourne, Australia. Needless to say, the couple absolutely loves the company of each other.

Shikhar Dhawan usually has the company and support of his wife when he is on the tour with the national side. We also saw both clicking selfies and uploading them on micro-blogging sites during the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy and India’s tour of West Indies. But this time, Ayesha chose not to travel to Sri Lanka with her husband.

Shikhar Dhawan lit up the first Test at Galle with his thunderous batting. He smashed 190 runs in just 168 balls which included 31 four’s and it was played at a remarkable strike rate of 113.10. His efforts, combined with a calm and patient ton from Cheteshwar Pujara, helped India post a huge total of 600. India ended up winning the game by a big margin to take a 1-0 lead.

Despite a confusion between Shikhar Dhawan and Abhinav Mukund in including in playing XI, Shikhar might get a chance of opening with KL Rahul who is back out of viral fever during the first Test.

If Dhawan is allowed to play the second Test, it will be his first Test at Colombo when India takes on Sri Lanka from August 3. Dhawan missed the Colombo Test on India’s  last tour to the island nation in 2015.
