The father-son duo scored half-centuries individually. They batted together in the Semifinal against Windward Island at Coolidge. The senior Chanderpaul struck a straight drive off the bowling of Ryan John on his follow through. John in the process of saving four runs got his boot in the way and the ball went on to hit the wickets at the other end.
Junior Chanderpaul, at the non-striker’s, failed to make his crease when the bails were dislodged. Hence, he walked back to the pavilion. His father played an indirect role in his dismissal.
