Steve Smith Tagged Wrong Woman Instead Of His Girlfriend, Netizens Lost It

Starting from his behavior towards India during the test series regarding the DRS, Australian skipper Steve Smith has been the butt of trolls for his lame behavior on the ground. Now, once again, this ace skipper is in trouble for doing some mischevious thing on Twitter.

Since a week or more, everything about the first Grand Slam tournament of the year is trending on media. The grand event is also attended by celebrities from the country. While former F1 driver Mark Webber was spotted in the stands, Australian skipper Steve Smith too attended the event with his girlfriend Dani Willis. Smith, who has been in sublime form with the bat across formats, also shared a photograph with tennis legend Roger Federer from the Melbourne Park Arena.

Following that, Smith became the butt of all jokes on social media after he tagged the wrong woman, in place of his girlfriend, while sharing a photograph from Melbourne. He, on Twitter, wrote, “Great night out at the @AustralianOpen with @dani_willis we both absolutely love our tennis! Thanks @CraigTiley for having us. What a belter f a match!”

The simple yet horrible mistake he did is mentioning the other woman’s name instead of his fiancee’s.

While this went with his profile, people didn’t leave a stone unturned in bashing the cricketer. Many once again called it the brain fade moment recalling the previous’ controversy that took place during the second Test between India and Australia in Bengaluru in March 2017, when the Aussie skipper was caught looking toward the dressing room balcony for advice on DRS appeal against his dismissal. While Kohli claimed Smith had been involved in cheating, the latter, in his defense said that it was a brain fade moment for him.

Twitter reactions:

“From my point of view, I think they’re completely wrong. I obviously came out after the game and said I made a mistake and it was an error on my behalf, it was a brain fade,” Smith said during the event.
