India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI: Suranga Lakmal Demolishes Indian Batting Line-Up, India Score 29/7

Team India has a formidable ODI record against the Sri Lankans, who are being led by the veteran all-rounder Thisara Perera. Whereas, Rohit Sharma gets an opportunity to present his captaincy skills in an ODI match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Dharamsala.

But, Suranga Lakmal and Angelo Mathews and NuwanPradeep’ spell have put India in all sorts of trouble. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. However, the visitors were successful restricting the Indian batsmen to score runs and also take wickets at regular intervals.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan was out for a duck in the second over. Rohit Sharma didn’t use the opportunity well and fell prey to Lakmal in the fifth over. Followed by the Indian top order lined up one by one walking back to the pavilion. Dinesh Karthik also scored a duck.

Named as one of the best sides in the shorter format, team India disappointed everyone. This was one of the worst performances by the Indian team so far. Suranga Lakmal picked four wickets in his 10-overs.

Nuwan Pradeep scalped two wickets while Angelo Mathews picked up one wicket so far. Twitterati brutally trolled team India for their poor performance.
