[WATCH] Surender Nada Makes Fun Of Napping Fazel Atrachali In Yesterday’s PKL Match

After successfully completing four seasons, Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has come in its fifth season with many changes in the teams and four new teams joined the league as an added flavor to the tournament.

It was a fascinating day of PKL action on Tuesday as one of the new team’s Haryana Steelers picked up their first ever win in PKL history, defeating another new team the Gujarat Fortunegiants in a clinical second-half performance. Given the lineups of the teams, that featured world-class defenders on both sides, it was expected to be a low-scoring and guarded affair, with both teams looking to play on the do-or-die raids.

Surender Nada

With the score at 9-11 in favor of the Steelers towards the end of the first half, Surender Nada did something unusual. Haryana Steelers captain and celebrated raider Surender Nada made a mockery of Gujarat Fortunegiants’ legendary Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali during yesterday’s Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) match in Nagpur.

With a little over 90 seconds to go for the first half to end, the game stood firmly in the balance at 9-11 in favor of the Steelers, but they had only three men left on the mat. Looking to kill time, captain and left corner defender Surender Nada came in to raid, looking to use up the full 30 seconds and take his side into the break ahead on the scoreboard.

With Nada walking around the midline on the right side of the court, the Iranian, who was playing as a left corner defender, thought that it was the perfect time to ask for advice from the coaching staff.

It was there that Fazel committed the fundamental or basic sin of Kabaddi by losing his focus on the court. It indeed was one embarrassing moment for the Iranian, but the packed crowd enjoyed the moment, which spurred Nada to do some celebration too.

It was a moment of magic from the Haryana skipper as he also picked up a High 5 at the end of the match, thus continuing his excellent start to Season 5. The match was won by the Steelers, 32-20 to hand the debutants their first defeat of the season five.
