T20 International 2019: Lasith Malinga Claims 4 Wickets In 4 Balls Against New Zealand

Lasith Malinga, who is considered as one of the best fast bowlers of our generation, claimed 4 wickets in just 4 balls against New Zealand in the third and final T20 International 2019, in Pallekele on September 6, 2019.

In the third over, Malinga balled out and took out Colin Munro, Hamish Rutherford, Colin de Grandhomme, and Ross Taylor.

The Sri Lankan fast bowler did this in just 4 bowls.

Lasith Malinga also became the first bowler in the T20 International’s to claim 100 wickets.

The previous record was held by Shahid Afridi, who had 97 wickets registered on the books.

He is the only bowler in international cricket to have picked up 4 wickets in 4 balls two times. This is a feat that could stay untouchable for a long time.
