Ball Tampering… Ardent cricket followers are well aware of this term, When a player tries to change the shape of ball to attain extra advantage while bowling is called Ball tampering,And the player who committed this mistake will be charged some amount of his match fees and will be banned for 1 or 2 games if it is more offensive. This is how Ball tampering cases go normally, But this time It went too far, The drama is nothing less than a daily soap.
It all started with David Warner planning to tamper the ball which involved a newcomer Bancroft, And the captain maintained silence even after knowing what was happening. This was not just the matter of ball tampering, It was the pride of Australian Cricket team Because both their captain and vice-captain were involved in it. Their Prime Minister himself addressed the media and asked Cricket Australia to take severe actions. How many times we see a politician talking about cricket!
All this act of desperation resulted in outrage of fans, public, politicians and Whole cricket fraternity, the trio got banned for 1 year and the main accuse David Warner got banned for a lifetime from captaincy. Everything was settled but then both Smith and Bancroft addressed the media and apologized, They almost broke, Which gained some sympathy for them, Earlier people were just bashing the trio left and right, But now we can see people showing sympathy, Mainly after the incident in airport where Smith was treated as a criminal gained him much required sympathy.
Kevin Peterson, Shane Warne and few other already supported Smith saying the 1-year ban was a bit too much harsh on them, Now the Indian fast bowling sensation Jaspreet Bumrah also came at their support. He tweeted an image which has a quote written on it as
” When Someone Does Something Wrong, Don’t Forget All the Things They Did Right”

this indirectly applies to the situation and his followers were quick to get what he meant, He even retweeted Shane Warne’s tweet where he shared the video of Policemen dragging steve smith, Warne stated that as a disgraceful act. isn’t he right? He was treated as some terrorist. At the end of the day it’s just a game, Where is all that humanity which we humans brag about all the time.
