This Twitter User Wished Mahela Jayawardene On Women’s Day And His Reply Is EPIC !!
On March 8, while people across the world celebrated women and their achievements on the occasion of International Women’s Day, a former Sri Lankan cricketer was in for a rather surprising wish. Wished poured all over the social media.
A fan named Manish Bindroo wished Mahela Jayawardene on the occasion of the International Women’s day. He certainly did not forget to add lots of respect that the cricketer deserves in his tweet as he called him the best Sri Lankan cricketer.
The fan tweeted, “Happy women’s day to the best Sri Lankan cricketer. #womensday”.

Jayawardena seems to have taken light of the ‘wish’ and good humour and replied in quick wit to him. He was quick to respond back as he rightly wrote back asking the fan to know the big difference between the two words Mahila and Mahela.
You should know the difference of Mahela and Mahila? ? https://t.co/bw6SFCK3ih

Twitterati, however, were from surprised and instead had a mixed reaction to the user’s tweet to Jayawardena. While some called him out for “trolling” one of the best cricketers, others were quick to apologize to him on “his behalf”.
Here are some of the best reactions:
