Virat Kohli All Set To Defeat Master Blaster! Already Broke Three Records Of His Idol Sachin Tendulkar!
Virat Kohli had an exceptional 2016 and certainly started 2017 with a bang as he hit a century in the first ODI against England. The man is a run-machine and for the last couple of years has been hailed as the successor to Sachin Tendulkar.
Yes, the last match against England proved to be a special one for batsman Virat Kohli as not only was it his first match as Indian’s ODI captain, but it was the match where he once again proved his class by bettering Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s record.
Virat Broke Three Records Of His Idol Sachin Tendulkar:
1. Kohli, who scored his 27th One-Day International (ODI) century last match, registered his 17th hundred in a chase. It was his 15th century in successful chases, the most by any batsman and Tendulkar previously held this record.
2. Yes, Kohli has now equaled Sachin’s record for a batsman with most hundreds in run chases, and also surpassed Sachin by becoming the first batsman to score 15 centuries in successful run chases.
It must be noted that while Tendulkar’s record of scoring most hundreds in run chases came in 232 innings. Kohli achieved this feat in just 96 innings.
3. Virat Kohli is also now the batsman who has played fewest number of innings to achieve 27 ODI centuries.

Virat Kohli is a true Indian who is making India proud in every sense of the word. He is known for his dedication towards the sport and for being a nationalist on the field. He has broken many records and has won over most Indians hearts.
People called him the future of Indian cricket some years back and boy they were right. Virat Kohli is the man at the moment for Indian cricket. He has developed tremendously as a player as well as an individual.
Sachin Tendulkar’s era has now been overtaken by Virat Kohli’s. At least that’s what former openers Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag believe. Sehwag even went a step ahead and said that Kohli is the new Sachin Tendulkar.
So, yes Virat Kohli is on the way of making his country proud as Sachin did. We are super happy for Virat and we seriously hope, he continues the same process throughout.
