Weeks before the Indian team embarks to England for the Champions Trophy, Kohli hit the racing track at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida. According to the reports, Virat Kohli enjoyed his time with his Audi R8 sports car.

Just a couple of weeks before team India go on board to England for the Champions Trophy, Kohli hit the racing track and drove Audi R8 at the speed of 280 km per hour. Talking about his experience, he noted that in the past, he has clocked speeds as high as 290 kmph before as well. He failed to break his own record and would have loved to do so.

Kohli, who recovered from the shoulder injury said, “I have done 290 km per hour here once before. But I sort of freak out. I cannot break at the last moment like the professional drivers do.” Adding further, he spoke about how much in love he has been with the city of Delhi. He knows the routes in the city like any other.

Declining to speak about cricket, KohIi surely looks comfortable after bad IPL. He said, “I have grown up here, (and) I have played my cricket here. Also, my family is here. So of course, I do have a lot of memories. When I come back, I do relate to all the roads, especially the routes that I used to take in my childhood while traveling for cricket, or otherwise.”

However, spoke about the only concern that the city streets face in Delhi. The traffic is very much a pain but that does not bother him much. He loves to stay back at home whenever he is in the city. He said, “I do like to step out in my car, and just enjoy myself, and listen to good music. I also like to spend a lot of time at home. When I come to Delhi, I am totally at home. I don’t like to step out at all.”

Virat’s Concern:

Kohli also expressed his concerns for the high fatality rate on the Indian roads. He added, “It’s a very important issue and I have been urging people to drive safely, and not drinking and driving. They should follow safety rules. It’s quite disappointing to see people not follow rules. It disturbs you as a responsible citizen. Please remember that one mistake can really harm a lot of people.”

Focusing on the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England and Wales is what Virat Kohli is planning to defend the title. This is Virat Kohli’s first challenge as captain in the ICC event and it will be interesting to see how he responds after a forgettable IPL season with RCB.

Let us wish Virat Kohli and the Indian Cricket Team All The Best ahead of Champions Trophy. Hope we defend the title.
