IND vs SA: Virat Kohli Gives A Cracking Reply After Being Hit On Ribs By Kagiso Rabada

After team India lost the Test series 2-1, they came back with a bang in the first ODI. Virat Kohli’s splendid performance in India’s first ODI against South Africa at the Kingsmead in Durban has certainly put a smile on the faces of Indian fans.

Even in the 2nd ODI, Kohli and Co exhibited world-class cricketing skills and bowled out the Proteas just for 118 in 33 overs. Wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav had bamboozled the hosts and laid the platform for India’s win.

Down in the chase, the opener Rohit Sharma departed quickly inviting his captain to the mix. During the chase, Kohli had to take a fatal hit on his ribs. A vicious delivery from Kagiso Rabada outside off came towards Kohli who attempted a hook shot.

The ball edged off Kohli’s bat and hit his midrib. It has come with 142 kmph speed like a rocket. But Kohli managed to take all the pain in and reply in his own way. Rabada bowled the same ball in the next delivery and Kohli made no mistake to send it out of the park.

Indian skipper with Shikhar Dhawan anchored 93 runs to guide the visiting side to 9-wicket victory and take a 2-0 lead in the six-match ODI series. While Dhawan hit his 24th ODI half-century, Kohli managed 46 runs as both the batsmen remained not out.
