Watch: Dwayne Bravo’s Embarrassing Dismissal In Bbl 2016-17

Dwayne Bravo is one of the most wanted T20 players in the world right now and he is turning out for the Melbourne Renegades during the Big Bash League [BBL].

On Thursday, in the BBL match against the Sydney Thunder, the 33-year-old with two sixes and a four was in the mood for a big one and just before taking strike for the 17th over, he began shadow-practising a big hit.

And that was the time when Australian fast bowler Clint McKay was re-introduced in the 17th over of Renegades’ innings. Bravo, trying to go for a big shot, missed a slower ball from McKay and was clean bowled.

Bravo, who is known for his big hitting and economical bowling in T20 cricket, couldn’t pick a slow delivery by Clint Mckay and swung his bat massively in the air. Because of the lack of pace on McKay’s delivery, Bravo swung the bat too early and the ball crashed onto the stumps.

The funny part of the dismissal was how Bravo’s bat went in the air while the ball went on to hit the stumps. Bravo couldn’t do much as he walked back with a smile on his face. The smile just to hide the embarrassment of the dismissal, it seemed.

You never know what to expect when watching a T20 match. To make the dismissal look worse for the West Indian all-rounder, his bat slipped out of his hands and went flying as well. Bravo returned with the ball in hand and picked up two wickets as the Renegades would win the match by 49 runs.

Incidentally, something similar happened to MS Dhoni in a T20I when on the tour to Australia in 2012. When facing up to Brett Lee and attempting a big hit, the Indian skipper accidentally sent the bat in the direction that he intended to hit the ball.
