The 3rd Test between India and England flowed when team India completely on top, England were right there staying in contention. Indian bowlers were so good that they could restrict the visitors to very low score with only 102 to chase down.

In the 83rd Over, Mohammad Shami bowls a fiery short ball that hit Woakes straight on the helmet. The intensity of the delivery was enough to dislodge Woakes’ protective rear-flaps at the back of his helmet.

On the very next delivery, Shami showed no mercy, bowling a rasping bouncer. Woakes was stuck, in the end, offering his bat close to his head for protection. Thus, the ball traveled high in the air and comfortably fell into the hands of wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel.

Adil Rashid walked out in the middle like prey dangling in front of Shami. Hence, Shami bowls a full delivery taking Rashid first up. The very next ball was a bouncer again, Rashid was in no position to play the shot and ended up pulling it awkwardly. Umesh Yadav found the ball and took the catch at fine leg.

Woakes and Hameed were batting and building good partnership until Shami broke it. But with the two wickets in a single over, Shami ensured that the English only held a lead of 61 with one wicket to spare.
