It has been 14 years this match was played. On 13th July 2002, India chased down 326 runs to win the Natwest tri-series final against England at Lord’s.
Team India reached the NatWest tri-series final against England under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly. With the help of Marcus Trescothick and Nasser Hussian’s centuries, England set a huge target of 326 to team India.
But the Indian top-order collapsed against the England bowling line-up. Though the big names failed to score in the match, two young names played a fantastic innings in the team’s victory. They are Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif. The duo stepped in when the top-order failed and scripted a dramatic two-wicket win.
