Yuvraj Reacts To Preity Zinta’s Tweet On Getting Him Back In Her Team
The IPL 2018 Auction wrapped up after two-day event held in Bengaluru. The eight franchises participating in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have gone to new extents to buy the players. Earlier, the franchises retained a few players from their previous teams and some of them were expected though some were surprising.
In the auction, there are many unexpected picks that shocked the cricket fans like Chennai boy Ravichandran Ashwin made his way to the Kings XI Punjab, it was an eerie moment for all the fans back in Chennai, with Chennai Super Kings bagged Harbhajan Singh in a cross-state transfer.
Ben Stokes was the highest paid overseas player in the auction with 12.5 crores bagged by Rajasthan Royals. But in the case of Yuvraj Singh, the Kings XI Punjab bought him at a base price of 2 crores. It is very much contrary to the price that RCB and DD have paid for him in the past seasons. Royal Challengers Bangalore paid a huge sum of 14 crores in the 2014 IPL season.
Coming to the stats, in the two seasons that the left-hander played for the Virat Kohli-led side, he scored a total of 624 runs in his two seasons with the Royal Challengers before he made a move to the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Even with the ball, Yuvraj was pretty ordinary picking up only six wickets in two seasons. However, he was a part of the IPL winning side in 2016. With the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the left-hander scored 488 runs in 22 appearances.
After two seasons, Yuvraj Singh is back to his home team Kings XI Punjab, the side which he led for two seasons. The KXIP franchise owner Preity Zinta was very happy getting him back into the team with the base price. She even took to Twitter to share her happiness about Yuvraj being part of her team again after a gap.
She tweeted, “Yesssssss! @YUVSTRONG12 is back home at @lionsdenkxip and I cannot be happier 😘 #LivePunjabiPlayPunjabi #VivoIPLAuction #BalleBalle😘”

Yuvraj Singh is one of the best hitters to have ever played the game but he’s lost his touch for a while now. He is struggling to ge into the Indian team but in vain. Neverthless, he can still be an explosion on his day. Yuvraj Singh has scored 2587 runs in the Indian Premier League at a strike rate of 131.
Yuvraj Singh is also amply excited to comeback to the his home team. In a heartfelt message the batsman expressed his love for his Pujabi brigade and also for Priety Zinta. Yuvraj also called Priety Zinta her favorite team owner in the Indian Premier League.
He wrote, “Happy to be back at @lionsdenkxip I guess this year it’s about self belief and pride ! See u punjabiyon
also my favourite team owner @realpreityzinta got you a very chatty partner @hazelkeech @virendersehwag look forward to some great strategies together with the legend !”

It is likely to be if the all-rounder could shine on his return for the Kings XI Punjab, after having an off-season with both the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
