Johnny Peluyera, a 16-year-old boy, was fatally shot dead in front of his father on Thursday while he was trying to sell his Xbox.

The incident happened when Johnny was with his father, the two met up with 2 men near 51st and Maryland streets to sell his Xbox.

The 16-year-old boy arranged the meet up through an online sales website.

The father of Johnny said that he figured out something was not right when he saw a gun on the men.

The father also warned his son but the minor was shot in his back while he tried to go back to the car of his father.

The 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead after some time.

The parents of Johnny said that their son was lured to his death.

The minor used the Letgo app to sell his electronic.

Kelly Arroyo, the mother of the 16-year-old boy still cannot believe that her son is gone.

She added that Johnny was a wonderful kid who loved to play video games and talk about cars. Kelly also mentioned that his son recently got his driver’s license and was going to get his own Trans Am.

The parents of Johnny and his sister are heartbroken.

Kelly added, “I just completely don’t understand. I don’t understand how somebody, over an Xbox, can take somebody’s life.”

The two men who were involved in the crime has been identified as 2 black males who are in their early 20s.

The police said that the men could possibly from the area.

In the upcoming fall, Johnny Peluyera was going to be a junior at the Merrillville High-School.
