2 Brothers Forced To Donate 17,700 Bottles Of Hand Sanitizes After Failing To Sell Them Online

2 brothers that hoarded 17,700 bottles of hand sanitizers, ended up donating them for a good cause because they failed to sell them.

Matt and Noah Colvin, the 2 brothers, who are from Hixson, Tennessee, reportedly drove thousands of miles to pick up as many bottles of the handwash as they could after the first death was recorded in the United States earlier this year.

The brothers reportedly drove thousands of miles and spend around $10,000 to $15,000 on their huge, or we should call massive haul.

With people in the United States panicking over the outbreak, the plan of the 2 brothers was to sell the $1 bottles for an inflated price of $70 each.

But after e-commerce websites found out what the 2 were trying to do, Amazon blocked the account of the brothers and stopped the sales, they were unable to get rid of the 17,700 hand sanitizers that they bought.

After the 2 were criticized by social media users, the 2 brothers decided to donate the sanitizers to a charity, who will give them out to people that are in need of it.

Before the giveaway was done, Matt, one of the brothers, said, “The Hand Sanitizer in the NYT story is being donated to a local church and first responders tomorrow.”

When he was interviewed by the press, Matt said he had nothing to say and was extremely sorry for the acts that they did.

When he was asked if he would apologize for buying a lot of sanitizers, especially after seeing families struggle to buy just, one, he said, “No, I don’t think I would.”

After the first death was recorded in the United States of America, the brothers stashed a lot of hand sanitizers, knowing it would go out of stock.

During an interview with WTCB, Matt said, “The bulk of it was purchased just driving around to retail stores in the Chattanooga area.”

Matt added, “The pricing on Amazon was definitely higher than retail.”

Matt also admitted that he sold 2 pack sets for $20 and charged as much as $125 for a ten pack.

The father said that the cost of delivering the items as well as the cut taken by Amazon.

He added, “Just because it cost me $2 in the store doesn’t mean it’s not going to cost me $16 to get it to your door.”
