23-Year-Old Black Transgender Woman Found “Burned Beyond Recognition” In Her Car In South Florida
A 23-year-old black transgender woman was found burned beyond recognition inside her vehicle in South Florida last week.
This killing is the 18th killing of a transgender person in the United States of America this year alone.
The dead burnt body of 23-year-old Bee Love Slater was found inside her vehicle in Clewiston, South Florida on 4 September 2019.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the investigating authorities asked locals to help them identify the person.
They identified her 2 days later as Bolman Slater VI.
The death of 23-year-old Bee Love Slater is currently being investigated as a homicide.
It is still not clear why Slater was in Harlem, which is 30 miles away from her house.
The investigating officers at the Hendry Country Sheriff’s Office said there is no motive for the crime.
Officers also said that this was one of the most brutal murders they have ever encountered.
The investigating officers are also trying to find out if the gender of 23-year-old Bee Love Slater played a role in her brutal killing.
Captain Susan Harrelle, the spokesperson of the Hendry Country Sheriff’s Office, said, “The only people that would know that would be people who saw that or people who did it.”
The death of Slater is marked as the 18th killing of a transgender person in the United States of America in 2019.
Most of the victims are black transgender women, said the Human Rights Campaign.
Slater underwent surgery earlier this year.
Jackson, a close friend of Slater, said she was being cyberbullied.
Florida is one of the 31 states in the United States that does not gender identity as a basis for a hate crime.
Anyone who knows any information about the killing of Slater is asked to reach out to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
