A 26-year-old man in Alicante town of El Pinos bled to death after the arteries in his thigh were gored by a bull during a Spanish festival that was being held in Costa Blanca.

Medical experts performed surgery right away and gave him 6 pints of blood with the hopes of saving his life, but there was nothing doctors could do because the arteries were damaged by the attack in 3 different areas.

After he was gored by the bull, his family and friends thought the injury was not a major one and could be dealt with.

But when the man started to lose color and when his companions saw that things were getting worse, they rushed him to a local hospital.

The 26-year-old man was gored by the bull in his left, reports suggest that the bull left a 20 cm cut on his leg.

According to an eye witness, “His left leg was completely covered in blood and he was on the verge of collapse.”

When local medics saw that one of his major arteries got cut in the accident, they rushed him to the Elda Hospital in Alicante and was advised to go through emergency surgery.

The 26-year-old passed away a couple of hours after he was brought into the hospital.

The 26-year-old man lived in the Alicante Town and was injured in the first bull release of the festival.

Lazaro Azorin, the Mayor of El Pinos, said that the city was “broken with pain”.

The rest of the festival was suspended after the incident happened.

Mayor Lazaro said, “In the name of the town of Pinoso and on my own, I want to transfer my most sincere condolences to the young man’s family in these difficult times.”
