The police have arrested 3 men from Assam who raped a woman in front of her disabled husband inside their home in the Bokpara area of the Dibrugarh District in Assam.

During a press release, Dhruva Bora, the Assistant Superintendent of the Bokpara Police, said, “Three men went to the house of a divyang and asked for water. Later, they raped his wife. All the three accused have been arrested.”

The three men that have been arrested have been identified as Bhaskar Borgohai, Vivek Kunwar, and Trishit Sharma.

The police said the rape incident happened on August 10, 2019, at 1:30 am when the 3 men went to the house of the woman.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the three men asked water from them when the husband of the woman went inside to bring water, the 3 men entered the house and raped his wife.

The rapists tried to escape the house but failed.

The men were arrested and a case has been registered against the three men under the Indian Penal Code.

An investigation has also been launched.
