A 37-year-old man from Oklahoma was arrested and is currently in jail after he reportedly sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in a bathroom at a McDonald’s play area.

Authorities said that the 4-year-old girl was at McDonald’s during a daycare field trip.

The Midwest City Police of Oklahoma said that a daycare worker knocked on the locked bathroom door at the McDonalds in 7025 SE 15th Street after the girl did not return.

The incident happened on September 5, 2019.

In an affidavit that was recovered, the 37-year-old man came out of the locked bathroom and said: “I was just washing my hands”.

The 4-year-old girl reportedly told the workers that the man sexually assaulted her.

The police identified the 37-year-old man as Joshua David Kabatra.

When detained by the police, Kabatra told the police that he threw up in the bathroom after he felt sick while the minor was on the toilet.

37-year-old Kabatra is currently in a prison in Oklahoma City.

McDonald’s released a statement about the incident, in which they said that they were disturbed by the incident.

The statement reads, “At McDonald’s, nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our customers.”

It added, “We are deeply disturbed by the incident that occurred at one of our Oklahoma restaurants earlier this week. We are fully cooperating with the police during their investigation. At this time, our thoughts are with the victim and others impacted by this incident.”
