5 kids were kidnapped on August 3, 2019, from the Lakhanpur Village in Bhagalpur District of Bihar, by men that were disguised as Kanwariyas.

The incident has triggered huge protests in the district.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the kids were playing near a road when they were approached by the kidnappers who were in an Omni Van.

The Lakhanpur Village falls under the jurisdiction of the Bath Police Station.

The Bath Police Station is yet to release a statement about the kidnapping case of the 5 children in Lakhanpur Village.

Residents of the village went on protests and are demanding the police to launch a search and rescue operation and are also demanding for the safe return of the kids.

Vikash Vaibhab, an IG in Bhagalpur, said that the state government has placed all police stations in Munder and Bhagalpur on high alert.

IG Vaibhab added that they have launched a search and rescue operation for the 5 kids that were kidnapped yesterday.
