5-Year-Old Boy Helps Save Mother’s Life After Calling Number On Toy Ambulance

A 5-year-old boy is currently being praised as a hero by the internet after he saved his mother’s life by calling the emergency services.

According to reports, Josh, the 5-year-old boy, called the emergency services after dialing the phone number that was written on the side of his toy ambulance.

Josh was at home when he found his mother lying on the floor. The mother reportedly slipped into a diabetic coma.

But the good thing is that Josh was at home when he found his mother, and instead of panicking, he spotted a phone number on the side of his toy ambulance and called it.

He called the number 112.

Josh, who is from Telford, Shropshire, was connected to a police communications operator who was able to help him and his mother.

Officers arrived at the house of Josh and found him and his younger brother along with their mother, who was found lying on the floor.

Paramedics were then thankfully able to treat the mother.

Josh was praised for his bravery and quick-thinking on a dramatic day last month.

Telford local policing commander Superintendent Jim Baker released a statement about the incident, where they praised Josh and his quick thinking.

Josh said:

This was an incredible thing for Josh to do, his quick thinking saw him ring the number on his toy ambulance as he was worried about his mum. He was very brave and stayed on the line while we were able to get to the family’s home and make sure his mum got medical assistance. Josh has already proved he would make a brilliant police officer in the future. Hopefully we’ll see him again when he’s old enough as a new recruit!

Such an amazing thing to read!
