6 Soldiers and 2 civilians injured after improvised explosive device went off in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir

6 soldiers and 2 civilians were injured after an improvised explosive device went off near an army vehicle in Pulwama, Jammu, and Kashmir.

This is the same place where a convoy of the CRPF was attacked by a terrorist bomber earlier this year.

The vehicle was attacked near the Arihal Village in Pulwama.

Reports suggest that the vehicle attained serious damage after the attack.

After the improvised explosive device went off, heavy firing started.

The police are currently recovering material from the area of the attack.

The army released a statement about the incident, they called the attack as a “failed attempt” by the rebels

The army added that the 6 soldiers only sustained minor injuries from the incident.

The army has sealed the area and has launched search operations for the terrorists who attacked the armored vehicle.

This attack comes a few days after Pakistan shared an Intel to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad about a possible terror attack in the area.

The same Intel was shared with the United States of America.

On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber from the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist group targeted a convoy of the CRPF. The bomb blast killed 40 CRPF soldiers.
