Adorable Police Therapy Dog Caught Trying To Steal Donated Christmas Toys

A police department in the United States was baffled with the fact that a lot of their toys were missing and they couldn’t find the person, or should we say dog, responsible for the act.

The police department in Massachusetts did find the culprit, but they didn’t expect it to be their therapy dog.

Officers in Franklin had been collecting toys so they can hand them over to the Santa Foundation.

The Santa Foundation is an organization that donates presents to families that are having a hard time during Christmas.

The police officers were collecting the toys, but they kept on going missing.

It wasn’t long before Ben Franklin, a therapy dog who comforts minors, particularly children that are in crisis, was caught by a police officer stealing the toys.

Caught on cam, the video shared by the police shows Ben Franklin holding a toy baby in a carrier, which he later hides under a desk where officers discovered the other toys.

We learned an extremely valuable lesson today. When you have a classroom full of toys ready to be shipped off to the Santa Foundation, you should…1. Close the door to the classroomOr 2. Keep the toys elevated If not, a golden retriever will slowly hoard them throughout the day and bring them back to his lair. Thanks to Officer Cusson for capturing this larceny on camera.

The Franklin Police Department shared the video of the incident on their Facebook page and said, “We learned an extremely valuable lesson today. When you have a classroom full of toys ready to be shipped off to the Santa Foundation, you should… 1. Close the door to the classroom Or 2. Keep the toys elevated.”

The toys were returned to their real place, and Ben, the therapy dog, has been banned from entering the collection room.

This one has to be one of the most hilarious stories!
