Australian University Student Discovers $4.8Million Lottery Win During Lecture

A 20-year-old university student from Australia was just sitting down and listening to a lecture when she realized she had won $4.8 million AUD in the lottery.

The student, who was not identified, is from Glenelg, a town that is located 10 kilometers away from Adelaide.

She said she was listening to a lecture in one of her classes when she got the news through email.

According to The Lott, an Australian Lottery Brand, the woman broke down in tears after finding out that she was multi-millionaire.

The winner was at a university lecture when she decided to check out her emails after she saw one saying that she had won something.

She said she did not think a lot about the email, so she just logged into her account and did her formal checking.

Little did she know that she was already a millionaire.

After realizing that she had won, she waited for the lecture to finish so she could call and claim her million dollars of winnings.

Talking about what she’s going to do with the money, she said she will be treating her mother.

The winner also said that she will not blow out her money on rubbish like what many other teenagers would do.

She explained:

I really don’t know where to start. I am still going to finish university, because it’s something I really want to do. I would love to buy my mum a house and I’d love to get myself one too. Once we can travel, I would love to do heaps of trips around Australia and overseas.

The unnamed winner won the Lott’s ‘Set For Life’ game.

According to reports, she will be getting $20,000 (£10,900 / US $14,300) each month for the next 20 years.
