Australian Vegan Takes Neighbors To Supreme Court With Hopes Of Stopping Them From Cooking Meat

A vegetarian woman from Australia decided to take her neighbors to a court with the hopes of stopping them from cooking meat while claiming that they deliberately waft the smell of meat from their bbq into her backyard.

Cilla Garden, the vegetarian woman, claims her neighbors are intentionally cooking meat on their barbeque, are blowing cigarette smoke, and bouncing basketballs just to annoy her.

According to 9 News, Cilla has been in a battle with her neighbors since 2018.

But it was just recently that she decided to take the matter to the Supreme Court, in which she demanded her neighbors to control the weeds in their garden, repaint the fences that the 2 shares, and repay the cost of the damaged plants.

During her interview with 9 News, Cilla said, “They’ve put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can’t enjoy my backyard, I can’t go out there. It’s been devastating, it’s been turmoil, it’s been unrest, I haven’t been able to sleep.”

Cilla told the courts that the disturbance that was caused by the actions of her neighbors was deliberate. But even after her accusations, the Supreme Court Judge dismissed her case.

The State Administrative Tribunal ruled that the neighbors of Cilla were living in their backyard and their home as a “family”.

Toan Vu, the neighbor of Cilla, and his family, have since moved their barbecue and have told their children not to play basketball.

Even after her case being dismissed by the judge of the supreme court, and all her requests to appeal the decision of the judge, Cilla said she is still not satisfied with the actions of the neighbors.

Cilla said she will go back to the courts again.

Cilla did not just have a problem with one of her neighbors, the neighbors that live on the other side are also facing the same complaints.

It is reported that Cilla also filed complaints about her neighbors that live on the other side of her house.

Cilla claims that her other neighbors stop floodlights shining into the common areas outside their houses. Cilla wants the neighbors to repair, paint the fence, and repay the cost of the damaged plants.

Carmel Vallelonga, the house owner, released a statement about the cases.

Carmel said, “Ms. Carden’s demands were proven to be not reasonable and indeed were to the detriment of the other owners’ ability to enjoy their lots in a reasonable and acceptable manner.”

Lawyer John Hammond has an advice for Cilla, the Lawyer advised, “If you’re having a dispute, the first step is you should go next door and try and sort it out face to face, because if you don’t do it that way you’re going to be up for a world of misery.”
