Authorities Use Stun Gun 3 Times On Florida Grandmother On Her 70th Birthday

Authorities in Florida struck a 70-year-old woman with a stun gun 3 times on her 70th birthday after she refused to allow them into her house to search for her grandson, who doesn’t live with her.

Barbra Pinkney of Bradenton, in Manatee County, was charged with obstruction and battery on a law enforcement officer on Thursday.

The documents said Tevin Turner, the grandson of Barbra, was wanted on a probation violation for carrying a concealed weapon.

Records listed Pinkney’s address as Turner’s even though he doesn’t live there.

During an interview with WFLA, Tevin used her address when he was on probation.

Pinkney said she was scared when the police arrived on her house and pounded on her dear on the morning of Thursday.

Pinkney said she was hollering and didn’t know what to do.

According to an affidavit, Pinkney demanded a search warrant for her house, which a police officer said was unnecessary because they already had an arrest warrant.

When an officer warned her that she could be arrested if her grandson was inside, she still refused to open the door and let them come inside.

The confrontation went on and the police tried to force the door open.

Pinkney tried to shut the door and the police officer grabbed her wrist and told her she was going to prison.

Elizabeth Francisco, the daughter-in-law of Pinkney, recorded the incident on her smartphone.

The video shows Pinkney appearing to pull away from the police officer when he fired the stun gun.

Screams can be heard in the video that Elizabeth recorded.

The affidavit says the police officer fired after she pushed him in the chest.

The officer reportedly struck her once with the stun gun in the left arm with no effect, and shot her again in the back.

The police officer took her to the ground after the second shot.

Court documents say that she continued to resist placing her hands behind her back.

The police officer struck her again with the stun gun, which is the third time, in the upper back of the 70-year-old woman’s back.

The officer said the weapon had no effect, so he secured her with his knee until another police officer handcuffed her.

Authorities searched the home and did not find Turner.

Authorities believe Turner could have escaped out the back during the chaos at the front door.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement about the incident.
