Boy Who Was Told That He Would Never Walk In His Life Takes First Steps Without Any Help

A 5-year-old boy that was told by doctors that we would never be capable of walking, was caught on cam taking his first steps without the help of anything.

Camden Brooks Hanson, the 5-year-old boy, was filmed walking unaided across a room in a moment that his mother described as “incredible”.

Camden was born with cerebellar atrophy, a degenerative  condition that affects the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling several bodily functions, which include coordination, speech, and balance.

Camden is from Georgia, USA.

His parents said that he has been taking physiotherapy since he was just 18 months old.

Mandy Hanson, the mother of Camden, said:

He has taken one or two independent steps in the past but typically falls right after. Many doctors and therapists told us they didn’t think he would ever walk independently and look at him now.

Hanson shared a video of Camden taking his first steps on Twitter, where it has been viewed by over 8 million people.

MRI scans of Camden have shown that his conditioning is getting worse.

Talking about Camden, Hanson said:

The ‘unknown’ is very scary because we are unsure what his prognosis and future looks like. We are so proud of him and blessed that he is our son.

The parents of Camden said that their 5-year-old boy will be able to start kindergarten later this year if the coronavirus pandemic gets better.

He will be using his crutches once the stay at home orders are lifted, added his parents.

Such an amazing thing to witness.
