Boy With Autism Cries On First Day Of School, Little Boy Holds His Hand So He Could Feel Better

The first day at school was not good for almost everyone, especially for kids who are scared to see a lot of people in one place.

8-year-old Christian Moore, a student at the Minneha Elementary School in Kansas, saw Connor Crites alone, and what he did next was just amazing.

Christian ran towards Connor and held his hand so he could help him calm down.

But one thing Christian did not know when he did the beautiful thing is that his new pal, Connor, had autism.

Luckily, Connor said the kind act of his new friend helped him overcome his first-day nerves.

The 2 kids are now on their way to become best friends.

During an interview with a local news agency, Connor said, “He was kind to me. I was in the first day of school and I started crying then he helped me and I was happy. He found me and held my hand and I got happy tears.”

Courtney, the mother of Christian, said that her son wanted to help Connor and help him feel better when he was scared.

During an interview with KAKE, a local news agency, Courtney said, “I saw him on the ground with Connor as Connor was crying in the corner and he was consoling him. He grabs his hand and walks him to the front door. He waited until the bell rang and he walked him inside of the school. The rest is history. They have an inseparable bond.”

April Crites, the mother of Connor, said she is usually worried about how other kids would treat her son. But after she got to know what Christian did, she was really happy.

During an interview, she said, “I fear every day that someone is going to laugh at him because he doesn’t speak correctly, or laugh at him because he doesn’t sit still or because he jumps up and down and flaps his hands.”

Courtney, the mother of Christian, said that this incident should serve as a learning for everyone to encourage each other to treat everyone equally.

She added, “It doesn’t matter the color, it doesn’t matter gender, it doesn’t matter the disability, and it doesn’t matter anything, just be kind, open your heart… it’s what we need in this world. One act of kindness can change someone’s life, can change the world. That’s all it takes.”
