A bizarre CCTV footage shows a hero shopkeeper chucking off chili powder at an armed robber in his face, forcing him to stop his attempted robbery.

The thief, who was carrying a knife, got more than he bargained when he targeted the wrong A1 Convenience Store in Kingstanding, Birmingham.

As the robber tried to carry out the robbery, he ended up with a face full of chili powder.

The masked robber ended up on the wrong end of the road after his failed attempted robbery.

The incident happened before the store closed on Saturday (March 7, 2020).

Terrifying CCTV shows the thug, dressed head-to-toe in black, with a balaclava across his face, as he held a large blade.
