Caught On Cam: Georgia Waitress Takes Down Customer Who Groped Her

A waitress from Georgia is currently being hailed as a hero by many social media users after a video of her fighting back against a customer that groped her as he was on his way out.

Emelia Holden, the 21-year-old old waitress in the video, could be seen in the video taking down the diner that groped her.

The incident happened at Vinnie Van Go-Go’s in Savannah on June 30.

Emelia said she was putting away menus after taking a customer’s order when a male customer walking behind her gropes her.

Emelia turns around in a split second, grabs him by his collar, and slams him against the wall.

Holden then pointer her finger at him and reprimanded him.

The video of the incident was shared on Reddit, a forum type social media, along with a caption of: “My cousin takes down this pervert down for grabbing her a–. He is later arrested in front of his wife and 2 kids when the cops arrived.”

31-year-old Ryan Cherwinski, the man in the video, was arrested by the police after the restaurant called the authorities.

Police officers detained the man after looking at the surveillance video.

Bianca Johnson, the spokesperson of the Savannah Police Department, said Ryan Cherwinski was charged with sexual battery.

During an interview with the Daily Mail, Emilia said she did what she felt was right.

She added, “I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police.”

Emilia continued, “As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man. He sat in jail until Monday, so in my opinion, he got what he deserved.”

Emilia wants her experience to inspire women all over the world to fight against people who assault them.

She said, “You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself.”
