Caught On Cam: Substitute Teacher Brutally Beats Up Special Needs Student In Texas
A teacher from Texas was arrested after a video of her brutally beating up a special needs student went viral on social media.
Tiffani Shadell Lankford, the teacher in the video, was immediately removed from the post of the substitute teacher after the video went viral.
According to reports, the incident happened at the Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas.
The video of the horrible incident was captured by a student that was present inside.
In the video, a 16-year-old special needs girl student can be seen striking the substitute teacher in the face before being repeatedly punched on the face by the latter.
Lankford, the teacher, then wrestles her to the ground before kicking her in the face.
As a response to the horrific incident, the Hays Consolidated Independent School District released a statement about the incident, where they said they do not tolerate such violent behaviors.
The department said they will be doing everything to make the student feel protected.
Lankford, the teacher, previously had a domestic assault charge against her.
The teacher was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The family of the teen responded to the incident through their lawyer and said that the event has disturbed them.
The 16-year-old student was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
