Circus Promoter Parents chained their 12-year-old son to a bathtub, abused him, and starved him to death

33-year-old Luis Posso and 26-year-old Dayan Median Flores are being accused of chaining their 12-year-old son Eduardo Posso, abusing him, and starving him to death.

Officials in Indiana said that 12-year-old Eduardo was starved, beaten and shackled by his parents.

Eduardo passed away after he was brought into a local hospital on May 23, he was rushed by Luis Posso, his father.

Officials said that Eduardo was “severely emaciated” and had an approximate weight of 55 pounds.

Officials added that Eduardo had 0 percent body fat and had a lot of bruises.

Luis Posso, the father of Eduardo Posso, and Dayan Median Flores, the stepmother of Eduardo, are charged with felony neglect.

They could also be facing murder charges, but this will be determined once the cause of death of Eduardo will be determined.

Brad Swain, the Sheriff of the Monroe County, said that Eduardo was frequently placed in a bathtub inside their house while being restrained.

Investigators have also recovered ankle restraints, chains, and a dog shock collar in the room where the family was living in.

During the investigation, the investigators found videos of Flores and other children “coming and going inside the bathroom and paying no attention to the child”.

The investigators also found a selfie of Luis Posso posing with Eduardo Posso, his son, while being restrained to the bathtub.

33-year-old Luis Posso and 26-year-old Dayan Median Flores were working as promoters for a circus, they would also travel the country passing out flyers.

Eduardo and three other kids were under their care, they have pulled out from schools one year ago so they could travel with them.

The three other kids are aged 9-years-old, 5-years-old, and 2-years-old, they are the biological and step-siblings of Eduardo Posso.

The kids were seen passing out flyers of the circus that their parents would be promoting, but Eduardo was usually left out in the motel room away from the public eye.

Jennifer Allen, a Detective Lt. said, Eduardo was an “a normal, happy boy” last year, but “within last year things got more severe.”

During interrogation, Eduardo Posso and Dayan Median Flores said that they gave food to Eduardo, but admitted that they physically abused him because he “acted up the most.”

Dayan Median Flores, the stepmother of Eduardo, admitted that they used chains to restrain him.

Eduardo Posso and Dayan Median Flores are currently in prison and have a $500,000 bail each, they are charged with 3 counts of neglect and one confinement.

Eduardo Posso will also face a charge of domestic battery.

The biological and step-siblings of Eduardo are currently healthy and are now with child protective services.

Investigators said that “there are really no words for this kind of abuse.”

Brad Swain, the Sheriff of the Monroe County said, “You don’t even want to let your mind go to imagine what this child’s thoughts were and what his prospects for his future were.”
