21-year-old Samantha Kershner allegedly slept with 40-year-old Travis Fieldgrove, her father, before she married him.

Kershner and Travis were both charged with incest after they were accused of having sex within the premises of Nebraska, but they have avoided a jail term.

Samantha Kershner, who is from Grand Island, Nebraska, pleaded no contest – a plea where the defendant accepts the conviction but does not admit the crime to a misdemeanor charge of false reporting.

Samantha Kersnher will serve 9 months’ time in probation.

Travis Fieldgrove pleaded no contest to attempted incest and will serve 2 years in jail.

Samantha Kershner and Travis Fieldgrove are also facing incest charges in Adams County, where the two got married last year.

Samantha Kershner is also accused of making false statements even after she took the oath.

The Grand Island Police Department said that the sexual relationship between Kershner and Filedgrove started last in early 2018.

When Samantha was 17-years-old, she was really interested to meet her biological father and this is when her mother decided to introduce her to Travis Fieldgrove and told her that he was his biological father.

According to the evidences that were gathered by the police, Samantha and Travis knew about their biological relationship before moving into a relationship and the two decided to get married after they found out that they were being investigated.

The DNA tests show that the probability of Travis Fieldgrove being the father of Samantha Kershner is 99 percent.

It is believed that Samantha wanted to have sex with Travis Fieldgrove after becoming “jealous” with her sister who could have sex with him first.

In the requirements of the marriage licensing at the Adams County Courthouse says that both parties who are applying for a marriage certificate should list down the name of their parents.

But the county says that the birth certificate of Samantha did not have Fieldgrove listed on hers.

Samantha and Travis got married at the Adams County Courthouse on October 1.

During the investigation, Travis said that he does not believe that he is the father of Samantha as his name is not mentioned on her birth certificate.
